We held a school Eucharist (Holy Communion) service at St. Mary’s the local Anglican Church. Parents were invited to come along. Children were very much involved in the service from some leading, others reading the Gospel Bible reading, the worship team said prayers, a representative from each class brought forward an envelope containing drawings of gifts and talents the children feel they have as a thank you to God, two children helped Reverend Steve prepare the communion. Then each class was invited to come to the altar to have a blessing from Reverend Steve or Tricia, staff members and parents were also invited to come forward for a blessing or to take Holy communion.

The children reported that their favourite part of the service was being blessed. Parents commented about the service being ‘very moving’ and that there was a ‘strong feeling of community’.”
