PE & Sport Premium

Sports Premium is ring fenced funding, and is allocated directly to primary schools across England, providing them with dedicated resource to buy in invaluable expertise and support. Funding is allocated through a lump sum for each school and a per-pupil top-up mechanism. Primary schools in England benefit from better PE lessons and improved sport opportunities.  £320 million Primary PE and sport premium help schools prioritise physical activity with education, as schools build back better from the pandemic.

Schools are required to publish details of how we spend our PE and sport premium funding. This must include:

  • the amount of premium received
  • a full breakdown of how it has been spent (or will be spent)
  • the impact the school has seen on pupils’ PE and sport participation and attainment
  • how the improvements will be sustainable in the future

Our Impact Report for 2022-23 PE and Sport Premium Spend is available here.

Our Action Plan for 2023-24 PE and Sport Premium Funding is available here.
