We Will Remember Them
The Remembrance Service we have at school along with the Cubs, Scouts,Beavers etc… is one of my favourite school community events, so I was really sorry not to be able to mark Remembrance Sunday in this way this year.
However, I was really pleased when we were invited to take part in St Mary’s virtual service and Cody and Poppy from Year 6 (and then Mrs Manning on Sunday) did a great job of representing us by laying our school wreath – firstly on the alter in church on Friday and then at the War Memorial on Sunday. It was also lovely to see the beautifully painted stones which the children from the uniformed organisations also laid at the memorial.
