During our school science week, we have been lucky enough to be visited by parents who have spoken about healthy bodies and exercise in relation to space, a professor from the university looking at why astronauts need to exercise and we had a pop-up space dome in our school hall, a physiotherapist who challenged year 5 and 6 students to plan a rehabilitation programme for Tim Peake when he returns from space and a dentist nurse who explained the importance of good dental health in space. The children created some amazing space themed models and displays when they had been asked to design a next century playground, sports hall, fitness video or app around Tim Peake’s Mission X Primary School project. The children have had a wonderful time!
